NYCDOE Covid-19 Updates
Every student and staff member must complete the Health Screening Form(Open external link) prior to entering the school building each day. Anyone entering the building must confirm that they are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, have not recently tested positive for COVID-19, and are not currently required to quarantine based on close contact with an infected person. If you need a thermometer to check for a fever, you can request one from your school.
If a student or staff member is feeling ill, they must stay home and get tested, which is an effective way of protecting the whole school community. Every school will have a nurse on staff to whom students can report if they are feeling ill.
All students and staff must wear a face covering when riding on school buses and anywhere on school property, indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status, unless they have a medical exemption.

Website Update
As a result of the Covid19 pandemic, schools in NYC, including PS 131, have had to adjust their learning/ teaching programs. Some families elected hybrid learning last year with learning taking place partially onsite and partially at home. Other families opted for remote learning full-time. As a result, last year was like no other before. In order to keep some sense of normalcy, we chose not to update much of our website during that time. We are proud of our school and wish to continue displaying everything that makes it so special. Now that we are all back onsite, we will be able to update our website with more current student activities and work. This will take some time but know that we are looking forward to showcasing our best work!
We are working to make this website easier to access for people with disabilities, and will follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. If you need assistance with a particular page or document on our current site, please Contact Us .
